Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, arms / Porto Bello, rare, ex-Adams. AC-PB2B. 13.87 grams; 40 mm. Dark brown XF with hints of luster but also some die-rust around details, rated rare in AC. XRF: 61.69% copper, 28.54% zinc, 5.69% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag).
